Academic beltloops

The Academic Program is an optional program for all Cub Scouts. It is not part of the normal requirements towards ranks. Its purpose is to assist the Scouts in learning a new skill, or improving one they already possess.

Academics belt loops for each subject may be earned once within each rank.

Academics belt loops are earned by the Cub by meeting the requirements listed.

The Sports Program is an optional program for all Cub Scouts. It is not part of the normal requirements towards ranks (except were used in obtaining the Webelos Sportsman and Athlete activity badges). Its purpose is to assist the Scouts in learning a new skill, or improving one they already possess.

Belt loops for each sport may be earned once within each rank.

Sports belt loops are earned by the Cub by meeting the requirements listed.

Loops and pins can be are earned by Tiger Cubs, Wolf  and Bear Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts.

Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts may complete requirements in a family, den, pack, school, or community environment.

Tiger Cubs must work with their parents or adult partners.

Parents and partners do not earn loops or pins.
